$10 Burrito
The digital music revolution, Ipod's and such truly effect the way we hear and enjoy music. It also directly effects my ability to pick up chicks. I know my good friend Kyle feels me on this one. There was a day not too long ago when you could invite a girl inside to check out your record collection. A couple crates of ultra hip vinyl could serve as an aphrodisiac or at least put bodies at the correct angle for things to move forward. An invitation to "watch a movie" throws up red flags all over the place to a young lady, righteous jams are just plain harmless. I'm no fox in a sheeps coat, everyone knew what they were signing up for. My point is simply without phongraph recordings, your Ipod playlist won't get you off the porch.
I once read that when Madonna moved to New York to begin her domination of Earth's culture she always carried a book. She always wanted to have something to do while waiting for a train or whatever other whore-like holding patterns she found herself in. She always stayed busy. In my short time in the Big Apple I've caught myself just sitting on the train thinking. This could be a sign I'll never truly make it. Anyone who knows me can tell you I am a firm believer in the idea that Madonna's rise to the top is an archetype. Madonna's way or the Eastern Parkway.
Everybody knows Song 2 by Blur right? You know Whoo Hoo! I was checking out some celebrity playlists on itunes and Steve Perry (Journey) had Song 2 on his list. He said, "I first heard this at a baseball game. I liked it immediately!" And that my friends is funnier than anything I've ever written here.
