Here I stand, left to watch as my Detroit Tigers play the final Three games of the season over the next Three days. Which is not to say I've ever done anything but watch. But my point is this year I have reason to even give Two craps. This squad is going to the playoffs for the first time since 1987. In recent memory the only thing the final weekend was good for was hoping you might win the raffle for Bubba Trammell's jersey. But this weekend we have a chance to win the Division. I just realized this probably only matters to about Four people, and it's not even trying to be funny. I won't erase it, but I'm acknowledging. There is an above average amount of numbers in this paragraph. No? Still not interesting? If your call gets screened between now and November this is your heads up as to why (Depending on who you are there may be several other reasons) . Some people have speculated that me moving to New York has been the reason for the teams historic turn around. To those folks I ask, who got a paint chip in his eye, when Tony Clark hit the facing in right field? That doesn't make any sense. It doesn't have to. My eye was fine.

I did help the guy who operates the news stand I go to fill out his daughters school lunch form. You know that's just me thinking globally, and acting locally, again. I was sort of hoping my services might be worth an O'Henry or something. Why this guy thought I was the dude to help him through the tough questions on the form I don't know. We did both agree though that even if the question was fishing for how many adults lived in his house hold, if his freeloading parents weren't making money, then this form didn't need their names on it. Pack me up and send me to Sumer, because you'd be hard pressed to not call me a good Samaritan right about now.
