FAXE

While riding on the L train this morning I was trying to determine based on my own criteria how many of the iPod wearers might be listening to the new Shins record, I then tried to determine how many had the new Shins on the iPod but were choosing to listen to TV on the Radio, or Beirut so as not to wear out the new Shins too quickly. I then tried to determine how many folks liked the Shins at one point, but now simply due to the bands popularity, could no longer bring themselves to care. I then wondered if I was the only listening to "Tomorrow Never Knows" over and over again. The only sure thing was that I had a female sitting in front of me with Reggaeton blaring out of her ear buds at a volume that I could hear at every break i my music.

Ah mass transit! It's a microcosm of the world.
