I was just reading that a Japanese hospital has installed a slot where unwanted babies can be dropped off. Just like a DVD rental or a library book, the Japanese can return infants, to that dreaded place they come from, the hospital. This deposit box comes as a result of the insane amount of abortions and abandonment that happen there. I'd think that with a country being on the forefront of so much technology they might throw some research dollars at a condom somebody might actually want to wear, and halt the need for a drop slot. Although it seems like despite not having any religious taboos about abortion, and being such an honorable society that leaving your kid on a park bench is normal, I'm sure some how birth control is viewed as a curse on your house.
