Take me Back
Can't seem to write here consistently.
I have for about a week now, at least once a day, heard my name being called when clearly no human in my vicinity has done it. Sort of weird, and I find myself getting used to it. When it happened earlier I recognized what it was, and didn't bother turning around. I'll greet full on madness as a new stage in my life, and hope it aids me in never again having to help anybody move. Vince is legit nuts, he can't help you move. Could be fun.
I'm not prepared to endorse the entire record but the first song on the new Panda Bear is quite tremendous. Heavy Brian Wilson vibe without it being a total rip. The melody is off the charts for me. Reading that back, it's no wonder I don't get paid to review music.
Man, Ipods apparently interfere with pacemakers. That makes them the 879th electronic device that does. If you have an implanted pacemaker good luck finding a geographic location where that thing's not gonna jam when the neighbor girl fires up her curling iron.
The stars of Cagney & Lacey are signing DVD's at a Barne's and Noble in NYC. The line to not bone Tyne Daly, forms behind me.
I'd like to take a closer look at a section of article that I read about how Isaac Mizrahi LOVES New York:
Mizrahi has been known to arrive at the airport only to tell his driver to turn around. Besides, he's too much a creature of habit to ever decamp. "I have my dog, my Yankees, my friends. I love the continuity I have in New York. In my dreams, I go to the farmer's market in Union Square and buy micro greens for dinner. But in truth, I eat out at the same places -- Benny's Burritos is an important part of my life."
Big Yankee fan, are we Isaac? I suppose it goes You, Paul McCartney, Halle Berry (after David Justice) as the 3 biggest yankee fans in the entire city. But for real, if your dreams involve micro greens from Union Square, like lay down go to sleep dream of the Farmer's Market, more than once, you you need to loosen that headband, brah.
