View from the Top

There it is: the view from my room on the third floor of the Travel Lodge. I'm still in Calgary, but had to move to a different hotel from where I had been staying due to a shortage of rooms. The Travel lodge is not as nice as the Hotel where I will stay most of the time on this tour but it does boast having a bar next door named the Regal Beagle! I intend to head over there later and see if I can't encounter some hi jinx related to some misunderstood sexual innuendo. Larry!

I'm no hotel manager but to me a cigarette burn in a blanket is a firing offense, and yet time and again I am asked to sleep under blankets that have been on fire before if only for a moment.

Hit up the casino yesterday. One of many casinos and opportunities that there are to gamble here. I need to have this camera on me at all times, I keep missing too many key opportunities to capture moments and share them. Like if only I had my camera yesterday when I entered the Stampede Casino and thought sure the security guard was a dude until she spoke, I could have offered you guys the chance to vote. Add another regret to my pile.

I used to accept that things in Canada were more expensive due to the difference in currency, but now that the Looney is worth .96 cents on the dollar, can this place please adjust. I didn't expect to ever pay more for shit than I do in New York, but sure enough, Alberta has a superiority complex.
