All Fat

I have been all over Western Canada for over a month and not seen one single Dome Hockey Game. That seems a little weird to me. Buck Hunter, they have covered. In fact, I sat and watched some dude in Lethbridge, Alberta beasting some Big Buck Hunter Pro. That toy plastic gun was a simple extension of his arm and his obvious upbringing by an unaffectionate father who tried to show love by teaching his boy to hunt. The only trouble is every time they went hunting his Dad and Uncle would get drunk and spend the entire weekend throwing shit at the kid (pausing only to talk shit about his Mother and Aunt) and making him carry all the gear including two shot guns, despite him only being 9 years old. This guy was clearly treating the digital wild life as an off season training session, a training session in the fine art of suppressing feelings of resentment by mimicking the actions of his hurtful patriarch. The only shame was that he was putting in all this work while a comic was on stage. I can't speak from experience but I guess when you get the urge to mow down some 1's and 0's in the form of grazing Deer, you must respond immediately to that call of the not so wild. Critter Bonus!

I can now say that I endorse the new Band of Horses LP. They didn't re-invent the wheel here, but it's different enough to warrant purchase. It's hard to follow a record like their previous, so...
