City of Angels (not the film with Nick Cage)

Rodney King's been shot!! I never saw that coming. After getting his settlement of 3.8 large for having his ass beat by cops on tape, he started his rap label "Straight Alta-Pazz", and let's be fair, that was a step in the right direction, and the next thing I know I'm reading how he somebody blasted him with bird shot from a rifle. Shooting somebody with bird shot is more of a warning, I'm not sure it was an attempt on Rodney's life. Perhaps the warning was "you have/had millions of dollars, and a rap label, you shouldn't be riding a bicycle around LA".

I guess it hasn't been all smooth sailing since the riots for Rodney, there was the spousal abuse in 1999, and the ordered drug treatment in 2001 after getting hopped up and pulling out his dong. Oh and in 2003 he got busted doing the same shit that got the boots put to him in '91, you know speeding, while drinking and not concerning himself with red lights.

Other than that though Rodney has been a model citizen and really pulled himself together. I can't seem to find any links or web address for Straight Alta-Pazz, and there's plenty of footage on you tube of the beating and riots(55 dead, 1 billion in damage), but none of his appearance on BET's Comic View, but I'm sure he has his ducks in a row. The wildest part was when he road his bike home after getting shot, and called the cops! I myself am leery of calling the cops, I can only imagine the inner debate that Rodney must have before pressing that last '1'.

Rodney King: Man, man, this seems like a whole lot of flesh wounds, but if I bring the poh-lease over here, there's always the chance I may get a closed head injury for my trouble. Oh well, here goes... everything. Get well soon!
